Earlier this year at MivaCon 2014 in San Diego, Russ Carroll CEO Miva Merchant, announced an agreement for Miva Merchant to acquire module developer Emporium Plus.
Emporium Plus has been a part of the Miva Community for over 15 years and their modules, including the popular module Toolkit, have helped web developers build highly customized Miva stores as well as provided store owners powerful modules to extend Miva’s core functionality.
Miva officially took over Emporium Plus starting in April of this year. Bill Wieland, Emporium’s previous owner, will be taking on a consulting role to ensure a smooth transition as Miva Merchant’s in house support team takes over day to day support requests for all Emporium Plus modules.
All Emporium Plus modules will continue to be sold through MivaCentral.com and EmporiumPlus.com.
Brennan Heyde, VP Developer Relations at Miva Merchant said,
“Emporium Plus has been in integral part of the Miva Community for many years. Their modules have helped thousands of Miva store owners build and grow their ecommerce stores. We’re excited for the opportunity to continue the great work Bill Wieland and Emporium Plus have accomplished over the years.”
