Every year, we see innovative uses of Miva Merchant software, and we are looking to highlight these new ideas. These nominated stores have integrated a new feature that is unique and valuable to the customer’s shopping experience or to the merchant’s back end operations. We want to share and showcase these Miva Merchant store owners who have achieved excellence in E-commerce. The winner will be announced at The Blades awards banquet during our annual conference on Thursday, March 7th, 2013. Oliver + S
Started in 2007 by fashion designer Liesl Gibson, Oliver + S develops sewing patterns for contemporary children’s clothing. They have been nominated for a Blades Award for TWO outstanding features: their responsive design framework, which provides shoppers with an optimized shopping experience across a variety of devices, and their paper doll “play” feature, a clever and FUN way to promote their brand and entertain their shoppers!
In business for over a decade now, ScotteVest is the brainchild of husband and wife co-founders Scott and Laura Jordan. Born out of a desire to simplify the cumbersome airport security screening process, Scott and Laura designed the first “Scott’s Electronics Vest” (now the ScotteVest Travel Vest) – a vest designed with hidden pockets to accommodate a plethora of electronic devices, without looking bulky, and that can be easily removed when going through airport security. The Mountie Shop
Established in 2007, The Mountie Shop specializes in providing high quality, Officially Licensed Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) products representative of Canada’s iconic National Police Force to both the RCMP and the public. A not-for-profit corporation, The Mountie Shop’s net sale proceeds are used to support community organizations who partner with local RCMP members to implement programs aimed at investing in Canada’s youth at risk. TheMountieShop.ca has been nominated for a Blades Award for its multi-language feature, which allows The Mountie Shop to cater to both French and English-speaking shoppers in a single site, with just one click of the mouse.
