Very nice. I noticed that the transition between the color attributes for the Floral Silk Tie seemed to be a bit delayed https://luxe.mivareadythemes.com/floral-silk-tie.html - is that just something on my end?

      Hi Leslie,

Thank you. I am not seeing any unusually long delay in the image swap, just the normal delay for Miva to make the AJAX call. Is this a persistent issue across browsers for you?

It does seem to get better after what I can assume are the images caching in my browsers. I wonder, can any sort of pre-loading of the additional attribute image be done?

I do like how it seems to be handling multiple images and the attribute images better than it has in the past. This looks like it needs to be a function that needs to be "widgetized" so it can be used in other ReadyThemes as I have a site using Levels and when it comes to multiple images and the attribute image swap things don't play very nicely together.

If you're attending my breakout at MivaCon this year, I think you'll like what is coming as far as portability is concerned

I wouldn't get your hopes up on that one.

                Couple of Questions...

                1) Why do the instructions say to contact Miva Support before installing on an existing store?

                2) Does the statement below mean that I can install this over my 9.0005 dev store and all my templates will be updated to 9.0006? That would be great since many of myold Templates are not consistent with the instructions in the 9.0006 update package.

"This theme includes the latest 9.0006 template changes so it supports MivaPay and subscriptions right out of the box."

                  1. Because you'll lose any customizations you've done to that live store, including any third party modules that reference template code.

                  2. Yes if you install this Ready Theme it automatically includes all of those template changes, but like I said above you'll lose all the other customizations (template wise) you've done on that store.
                  Thanks,

Thanks Rick. My dev store has very few customizations left and I am willing to take the risk. Do I still need to contact support? BTW, I thought that a goal of the ReadyThemes was the ability to be able to switch Themes fairly easily. Is that no longer the case?

Your risk is limited though. The templates are over written in favor of the templates in the framework, but the old code does remain in the pages history...unless you delete the history.

IMO, if you don't have any customized templates, then switching frameworks/Readythemes is painless.

I'm confused, I have to contact Miva Support before I install this module in my dev environment because I will "lose any customizations" - should I just get a new dev store?

However, if you have a customized layout or just want a clean store install to start from, then a DEV store could be the better option. Remember that unless the DEV store is a direct copy, you will lose all the existing data.

                            Leslie,

I think the intention of the original warning was so people don't overwrite their LIVE store (without knowing that it would overwrite their live page templates), not the Dev store, but it's been so long since that was written I'll talk to the team about making that more clear.
                            Thanks,
