Subcategory Images Missing and Quick View Icons Out-of-Place

I'm having two problems with Luxe.

Subcategory images are not showing on SFNT. I've assigned the customfield item to the SFNT page and uploaded a few images to test but none of them show up. Do the images have to meet certain criteria? Have I missed a step?

On the category pages the Product Quick View icons are only partially showing up and in the wrong place. They are hiding near the lower right corner of the images.

This is a brand new 9.6 store with just my products and other content transferred in.

You can see these issues at dev2.preparesmart.com.

    Thanks!

    Hi Keith,

The featured items on the storefront call in the category tree image for the category not a custom field. As for the quick view icon, it is supposed to show in the lower right-hand corner of the product card as seen in the demonstration site [ https://luxe.mivareadythemes.com/solid.html ].

Ok, that Quick View is a bit cutesy for me but I can live with it. On the images I must have gotten all caught up on the XML file that I didn't read far enough. I see that the images should be a transparent .png. What's the recommended image size for that area on Luxe?

      Thanks Matt.

The recommended size for the category tree images are 200 x 267px

Circling back to the sub-category images. I've uploaded the xml to create the category custom field, I've assigned the custom field to the Category Tree Template and I've uploaded a couple of images into the custom field for a few categories, but I'm still not seeing any of the images being displayed. What am I doing wrong? Sorry I can't share a link, the dev site is password protected.

            Hi Leslie,

Check the name of the custom category field created through the XML import to make sure 'category' is spelled correctly; we found an error there.

I ended up just putting the sub-category mages in the Category Tree Image field. You can see the result here:

              http://dev2.preparesmart.com/

(Please let me know what you think - I'm still using a lot of older product images)

That said, I'm thinking of going back to Levels because Luxe is so streamlined and image centric.

This is for you SFNT issue you were having (sub-cat images in the Cat Tree Image field? I was trying to get the sub-cat images to display on the sub-cat pages. Now I've got to rethink that because the current sub-cat images are not Luxe friendly.

I've had to use two versions of the logo - one for the SFNT and then one for the other pages. The second one can be used for the footer logo.

The main reason I'm doing battle with Luxe is because the store owner likes the slideout menu that is triggered by the hamburger menu. While this ReadyTheme is cutting edge, it has quite a learning curve to it.

You're telling me. I'm a small business owner who tries to keep up with Miva and you've probably seen some of my "woe is me" posts over the years. I also love the Luxe flyout menus but am coming to the conclusion that it just might not be right for my store.

The menu, yes, all the other stuff maybe not. I'm hoping that ReadyTheme 2.0 will help make things like the menu more plug & play in the future.
