Re: Introducing: The eMediaSales Everything™ Subscription

    Jean,

Generally I provide the timeline and core vision each year at the conference in my keynote.

Above I covered them at a very high level, PR 9 is first half of 2013 and PR 10 is first half of 2014. In addition to the things I mentioned we have a long laundry list of items we want to add and in general we're not simply adding the same functionally as modules.

Module developers filled an important need in our product for a long time but in general they added to the software around the core and couldn't truly extend the state of the art. When we get into a space we want to redefine the process. So when we do Coupons for example our goal is not simply to replicate the functionality seen in today's modules but to truly integrate the concept into the core paradigm of our product.

A good example is how we did Order Status/Order History and Shipment Management. There had been a number of modules that did similar but we changed the core paradigm of how you'd do that in product and then allow those API's to be built upon by us and others.

LOL - while looking at options for Adobe products I noticed that they have a "Creative Cloud" which gives you access to all of their products for a monthly subscription.

Jean, I do "feel your pain", but keep an eye on Miva Merchant - a LOT of new features are being added and are on the horizon. Take a look at the PR9 "pins" - it's the Road Map of great things to come:
