Miva 9 order processing with authorize.net

Hello, we have been using Miva since 2003 with the StoneEdge Order Manger for order processing. Now we want to consider processing orders directly through Miva 9 with Authorize.net and not use the Order Manager for processing. Therefore, we would like to know the sequence on exactly what occurs when you process and order through Miva 9? We would want to use the approve and capture feature so we can process all orders at the end of the day. Some of our questions are what happens in an order is placed with an AVS mismatch and we go to Capture the funed at night? Where does that order go? What happens if an order is declined when we go to capture the funds at night? Where does that order go? Basically is this a simple process for anhyone that has never done this before and relied on other software to handle everything? Thanking you in advance for any advice given.....MJM

In all cases, Miva is a binary system for Order Management when it comes to orders coming in via the web. What I mean by that is that an order is either approved or declined. If it's declined, it doesn't exist.

So depending on your Auth.net side settings, if you allow AVS mismatches to go through, then it'll be approved and exist in Miva (and you don't need to do anything special other than Capture it when you ship). If you tell Auth.net to decline AVS Mismatches, then they won't exist at all in Miva's backend (other than as an abandoned shopping cart).

If the order is declined (for whatever reason), same thing, it never gets created within Miva.
    Thanks,
