Create Different Denomination Gift Certificates or ...?

Was not able to find the answer in MIVA Reference Guide Version 9.53 nor Customer Video Tutorials. Does one create different denomination gift certificates or one with different attribute denominations?

FYI - the video link is now broken. It would be nice to have the instruction updated on how to create the attribute based denominations.
