    cXML Punchout

    Hi All,

I've just recently taken a position at a company that uses Miva Merchant as their e-commerce platform. It's week 2, and they've just informed me of a customer who is looking to use cXML punchout for purchasing. Are there known solutions for integrating punchout into an existing Miva based site, or am I on my own here? Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Scott

I don't believe anyone has a 'plug in' to do this, but rolling your own shouldn't be to arduous.

Basically, you'd probably use an Templated Email template (mostly cause it can be triggered automatically on order completion and can have the order contents passed to it).

Parsing the XML is a bit tricker as there are few native SMT (the 'template macro language') tools to use, but some google searching will find other forum topics like this:

Alternatively, you can do this through a more robust Add on module, but the tasks involved in building a module, while not too technically difficult, could slow down you progress.

Lastly, there are other developers here who'd be willing to work with you on creating a solution for you if time is of the essence.

    And welcome to our world.

Hi, I wrote a CXML "Punchout" module for a client some years ago. I just did some updates for them in March, so it's all working correctly. You can drop me a line by email to discuss a solution for you.
