9.6 has broken both of our DEV sites.

    Hello forum:
Installing 9.6 on our 2 DEV sites has broken checkout on both. Getting abends between OCST and OSEL on the MMUI site.
    This is the error:
Miva Merchant has encountered a fatal error and is unable to continue. The following information may assist you in determining the cause of the error:
    Error Code: MER-TUI-MGR-00023
Description: Item 'payment' threw exception 'invalid_payment_method' during initialization
    Other Information: Invalid payment method.
On our CSSUI site, cannot proceed from OSEL to OPAY using credit cards. OSEL screen just redisplays with no error message. Check and PayPal do work.
    Anyone else experiencing this.

We are using the Viking UPS shipping module on both sites

Do you have the payment item assigned to OCST? If so, that is what is causing this. Can you un-assign the payment item from that page?

      Hi Brennan:
I had opened a ticket on the OCST abend and received a reply that it had been fixed. The payment item in OCST is presently unassigned. I did not receive the solution that support applied, possibly they unassigned the payment item?
Will this be a problem when we install this on production.
BTW. I had been hoping that our MMUI store would not be getting any more releases since the past 2 have caused issues with our store. Will there be more MMUI releases? Hope not!

      Cheers, Larry

All releases will need to be applied to MMUI (even though we don't add any customer facing features to MMUI). So yes until you move off MMUI, it'll keep getting updates.

I've opened a ticket on this.

Miva support responded to my ticket and fixed the OSEL -> OPAY issue.
            Thanks support!

The fix for our cssui site was to unassign item paymentmethod from the OPAY page.
