Miva 9 Attributes Cannot Be Changed In Checkout

On my website (execshirts.com) I extensively use attributes on all my products, on the product page they appear and if you add an item to your basket they will appear on the checkout page. On the checkout page you can change the quantity of the item or delete it, but if someone wants to change one of the attributes of an item they cannot do so. The customer needs to delete the item and go back and re-order it, it is aggravating to my customers. Is there a way I can fix this? Or is this a fix that Miva needs to fix on an update?
