Coupon Code for Free Shipping with item restrictions?

How can I create a coupon code valid for Free shipping but is not valid on certain items?

You would create a Product Specific Shipping Discount Price group. This will allow you to setup the free shipping and limit the free shipping to certain items.

What if I want it for every item on the site except for 2? Is there a way to just restrict those 2 items? Seems like it might be time consuming to select every item on the site except for 2?

Try this:

1) Check all of the items in the Price Group using CTRL-A.
2) Click on the [+] button so all items are active for the coupon.
3) Turn off (via the slider button) the two items that you don't want to get the benefit.
4) Click the Close button.
