I have used PayPal for years and am very happy with it. I had used others before, but PayPal makes my month-end close process so much easier because all transactions for all payment methods (Amex, other credit cards, and PayPal) are all included in the same statement. No more need to do multiple reconciliations. All in pricing is also a few basis points lower than other processors.

It's worth noting Braintree is owned by PayPal and is their next gen platform, so we recommend PayPal too, but Braintree is the best all things being equal.

Rick, do you happen to know anything about the user experience of migrating from PayPal to Braintree? Do they make it easy, or is it the equivalent of closing an account with one company and setting up a new one with another?

Rick, is there still a lower rate for signing up through Miva rather than going direct to Braintree?

Keitho I don't think we have a lower rate per se, but I can certainly get you in touch with a sales rep at Braintree which might help coming in as a referral.
