According to the Miva setup you do not need to do anything with Authorize.net to make it work. so you don't need to have to Apple Merchant ID setup with Authorize.net?

That is true as long as your Auth.net account is configured as a Web account (and not a MOTO account). We are adding a flag in 9.67 to bypass that requirement, but Auth.net should be a seamless setup. If you have any issues processing that suggest an invalid cryptography it's almost certainly caused by the Auth.net account type (we've seen this in only 2 stores so far).
