Apple Developer Account Required for Apple Pay?

Do you guys know if you are required to create an Apple Developer account and pay $99 per year in order to setup Apple Pay? Both Miva and Authorize.net support claim that they are unaware of any $99 per year fee and it's not mentioned in any setup documentation. However when I try to go to the section to get the Merchant ID it seems to be requiring me to signup for the Apple Developer Program at $99/year.

Just trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong or if in fact you are required to pay this $99 annual fee to get the Merchant ID.

Pretty sure that is not required; my understanding is it's simply a free add on with a compatible merchant account and you continue to pay your normal merchant account rates when it's used instead of a traditional transaction. I'll check internally though and ask for someone to update the thread.

I'm following these steps and it doesn't seem to be giving me the option to add a Merchant ID unless I enroll and pay $99/yr....

Those directions aren't related to using it with Miva. Just enable the module (and as long as your gateway/processor support it), it "just works". You do have to make sure you put the token where it goes. Go to docs.miva.com and search for Apple Pay

In the Authorize.net documentation page 9 it says:
Navigate to the Certificates, Identifiers, & Profiles area of the Member Center at the Apple World Wide Developer Relations (WWDR) web site.
In the Register Merchant IDs section, click Continue. Your Merchant ID is in the Identifier field.

Is this the URL for the WWDR web site? https://developer.apple.com/account

          Here is the Auth.net documentation:

You don't need any of those. The ONLY docs you need to follow are here: http://docs.miva.com/how-to-guides/applepay

OK thank you! So we don't need to touch a single thing in Authorize.net?

Sorry I missed the Apple Pay webinar today, so this question may already have been answered. Have any additional Merchant Processors been added to the current very limited list? Store owner is at Bank of America and it sounds like they are wanting a 'csr entitlement certificate'

I know how super simple it is to implement this but it is totally dependent upon the Merchant Processors...
