Apple Pay needs Miva Pay?

I think I misunderstood some info or am hanging to some old and incorrect info. Does Apple Pay require Miva Pay before it can be integrated? Apple Pay prerequisites doesn't mention Miva Pay which is good, but I don't want pass on wrong info to my client.

It does not. The ApplePay functionality is dependent on our MivaPay environment, but the MivaPay product is not necessary to make use of ApplePay, just a compatible merchant account and an up to date version of Merchant.

Also, there are only 2 gateways that currently support ApplePay - Auth.net and Braintree. FYI - just because you might be using Auth.net that doesn't mean your Merchant Account is accepting ApplePay. Please check with them first.

These requirements: They are for the customer end? The Apple Button will be an option if these are detected?

• Requires Bluetooth 4.0 for Continuity which is how it works behind the scenes

How does Bluetooth fit into a web site integration on the server?

Bluetooth is on the customer end - to sync the thumbprint to the desktop

Device Compatibility
The service is compatible with the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, iPhone SE, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro and the Apple Watch. Users with iPhone 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus and iPhone SE can use the service through an Apple Watch, though it lacks Touch ID security. Instead, Apple Pay is activated with a passcode and will remain active for as long as the user wears the Apple Watch.

Apple Pay uses credit cards stored in the secure enclave of a compatible Apple device (as Leslie lists above). The finger print authenticates you and provides access to these stored cards for purchases during a transaction. So Apple ID doesn't really fit into the mix here.
