Sorting Parent & Child and Single listed product

Is there any way to sort out products that are a single product listing vs. a Parent product vs. a Child product?

By "parent" and "child," do you mean master products and inventory variants? Please tell us a little more about what you're trying to do with your store.

Just looking for a way on the product tab to be able to identify if the product is a Single product listing or part of a Parent "master products" and with inventory variants products

Hmmm, sorry, let's make sure I understand you. Right now, the admin pages let you go to a master product and view a list of its parts; but there's no opposite function, going to a part product and finding out about its master, if any -- or masters, plural, in case it has more than one. Is that what you're looking for?

OK, thanks for clarifying that. I don't think the Products page can display products that way. It can display custom product fields, though. So if you were to create a new custom product field, and load it with the product code of the parent, then you could add that field as a column on the Products page. Then you could view each product's parent; but of course you'd need to set up that custom field, and edit it as needed to keep it in synch with any product changes. That could be a lot of work if you have a large number of child products.

If you want to go with a custom solution, I can provide a module for this. A module can generate a custom product-list display that includes the parent-product info, without any need for custom fields. Or if you prefer, a module can manage the custom field I described above, updating it automatically as needed when you assign or deassign parent products, so that you can view the info as a new column on the Products admin page. If you're interested in either of those ideas, you can contact me by email to discuss it in detail.

            Thanks --
