Power Search Question

I'm using Power Search to do Faceted Navigation. Essentially for this to work, I need my Search String to be an asterisk "*". This is supposed to return all the products(and then I can filter the products then). This is how it works in another one of my stores. In my newest project, searching an "*" results in "No products match your search criteria". I've checked all the settings, but can't seem to find anything that allows me to use an "*" in the search box.

Any ideas?

Brennan, Yes the Power Search Mirror is built, and the .dat files for the attributes and custom fields are the s01 export folder. Its the Canari project, and you can go to CTGY2 page : /mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY2&Store_Code=canari&search =* . Once I search a real term, the results display and the filters show, although the filters don't actually filter. So it may all be related to one piece missing. Still looking.

Is the post going to the SRCH page when they click to search? It has been a long time since I looked at that code and there are about 8,000 lines in it so I am not positive if it needs to land on the SRCH screen or not. That is the only thing that comes to mind right now.

Bill, I have a custom CTGY2 page, with the power search item instead of the miva search. If i search a term, the search works based on the fields I assigned/built the mirror for. The filtering reloads the page with the passed parameters in the URL but doesnt change the results on the page. That and the asterisk seem to be my only issues.

Take a look at the front page at http://www.emporiumplus.com/mm5/merchant.mvc In the upper right is the search form. Run a search and you will see it goes to the SRCH page template, which is the page power search normally runs on. Just as a test, change your landing on CTGY2 to your regular SRCH power search page and see if they solves the issue.
