MIVA MEDIA ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF MIVA MONETIZATION CENTER

New product enables website owners to generate Pay-Per-Click revenue

New York - January 17, 2007. MIVA Media, a leading Internet advertising network and a division of MIVA, Inc (NASDAQ:MIVA) has today announced the U.S. and U.K. launch of MIVA Monetization Center (MIVA MC), a new self-serve product that enables web publishers of all sizes to generate Pay-Per-Click revenue from their websites.

Any online publisher can apply for a MIVA MC account and, once their site is approved by MIVA's quality control team, can have targeted Pay-Per-Click Ads live within minutes. With MIVA MC, partners can choose to display Ads in any of the following formats:

Content Ads: keyword* or contextually targeted Pay-Per-Click Ads displayed in fully customized implementations beside site content.

MIVA InLine Ads: Pay-Per-Click Ads that appear when users mouse over hyperlinked keywords within actual site content.

Search Ads: Pay-Per-Click Ads displayed in response to specific typed-in search queries*.

The inclusion of MIVA InLine is a key USP for MIVA MC, differentiating the product from the competition and providing web publishers with a potentially significant incremental revenue stream.

MIVA InLine works by crawling content in web pages and adding hyperlinks to specific keywords within the content. When users mouse over these hyperlinks a related Pay-Per-Click Ad appears. Partners can choose the pages MIVA InLine is active on and specify the actual sections of content they want crawled and underlined.

MIVA InLine launched in September 2006, however this is the first time the product has been made available on a self-serve platform and to websites of all sizes.

In addition to InLine Ads, MIVA MC partners can also display Content Ads - Pay-Per-Click Ads that appear beside site content. These Ads are targeted either through MIVA's proprietary contextual technology or specific pre-selected keywords*. MIVA's contextual technology ensures that Ads relate directly to site content, while keyword targeted Ads offer a greater degree of flexibility for sites that may not be rich in content.

MIVA MC partners can fully customize these Content Ads to suit the design style of their sites, selecting from a range of standard IAB and custom formats and specifying colors and the number of Ads they display.

MIVA MC also enables web publishers to harness the power of search by including a bespoke search box on their site. Each time a user types in a search query they are served a cross section of highly targeted MIVA Pay-Per-Click Ads providing further revenue generating potential*.

Other features of MIVA MC include:

  • Multiple URLs: online publishers can manage multiple URLs under one MIVA MC account and create separate implementations for each.
  • Sophisticated reporting: daily, monthly, quarterly or annual reports can be created that provide up to date summaries of revenue generated.
  • Transparent earning's calculations*: MIVA MC partners can see the exact share of revenue they generate from the Ads on their site.
  • Channels / sub accounts: enable partners to develop groups of pages and track and compare revenue against these groups.

MIVA MC is non-exclusive and does not require websites to sign up for a minimum contract period. MIVA MC partners can choose to display InLine Ads, Content Ads, Search Ads* or a combination of the three. Partners are paid automatically each month once they generate revenue over $25 / £25.
