Store Spotlight: RaceReady

What is one of the main components of most pants, shorts, and even skirts that many people take for granted? If you guessed “pockets,” you’d be right. People use their pockets to store things when carrying a purse, satchel or other type of bag would be inconvenient, and for athletes, and runners in particular, the ability to travel light is a must.

The problem, as any runner will tell you, is that most of the standard pants, shorts, and skirts designed for runners don’t have any pockets at all.  This week’s Store Spotlight, RaceReady, provides a solution with their patented external pockets for running shorts and other types of running apparel.

Founded in 1993 by Olympic time trial-participating marathon runners, RaceReady holds three patents on their product designs, and invented the category of internal pockets for running shorts.

“We chose Miva Merchant because of the great value for the money, the ease of implementation, upgrades, and hosting options, and the excellent customer support,” says RaceReady Managing Director Tim Vadney.  “We appreciate the strong value proposition and rich feature set that Miva Merchant offers.”

Currently, customers can choose between over 1,000 products for men and women, including running shorts, compression pants, running skirts, tank tops, shirts and the ability to custom-design their own race gear.

Customers can also shop for products via RaceReady’s Miva Merchant-integrated Facebook page.
