Adding Facets without PageBuilder

How do I add facets without using Page Builder? I "thought" all I needed to do was to add and assign the item to the template:

I'm trying to tweak a Colossus layout to not use that facet bar across the top, but instead in an aside. Do I have to also add (and redo) that boatload of code that is on the CTGY Page?

Updating to Shadows (from Colossus)

I've created a branch to attempt an update from Colossus to Shadows v26.02.00. I've noticed a JavaScript behavior that is not part of Shadows (the direction the mini-basket slides in from) but was a custom part of the Colossus branch. I'm trying to figure out where that custom JavaScript resides. When I first looked at the different JavaScript Resources that were active, I found a number that are in the b09/themes/colossus/extensions directory. I deactivated those, but the behavior continues. I have noticed that there are two Combined Resource: one with the Code scripts and one with the Code site-scripts. Should there be two? scripts is assigned to the footer_js Resource Group. So, would it be safe to deactivate site-scripts?

I'll check the CSS Resources next. I was thinking installing Shadows in a branch would have been similar to a clean install, but I seem to have thought wrong.
