Hi folks --
A client of mine has had a problem with a "lost" order that was placed thru
the Verisign Payflow Pro (PaymentNet) payment module -- they got no email,
and there's no Orders.d record; but they did get notification from the
payment processor, so the order got thru somehow. I looked in
basklist.dbf, since they hadn't packed the site yet, and there is a record
in there with the missing order number.
I guess my hunch is that there was some kind of HTTP glitch on the reply
from the payment gateway, and I should tell the client to buy one of the
lost-order-recovery modules to prevent this. BTW, all this is on a
Merchant 4.23 store, hosted by NetNation ... I'd appreciate any advice
anyone else cares to pass along.
