Yes, it is located in a data file. However, this information is
encrypted via
software when stored. You can't just go into the servers root directory
and
change the access data. You have to have a known name and password, the
encrypted versions, and appropiate software along with access to the
root
directory of the server to make changes.

We forgot our username/password to login to the administration
area of MIVA Merchant - admin.mv

How can we determine our username/password?

We assume this is located in one of the datafiles, but which one?

Any assitance in helping us resolve this will be greatly appreciated.

The storefront passwords are stored in your data files in an encrypted
format in a database file called users.dbf. This info may not be of too
much help in regaining access to your storefront admin as the passwords are
encrypted in this database file for added security. We can provide you with
recovery service to regain access into your storefront admin. Please
