While I'm inclined to agree with you, in their defense, making a
templated cat tree is no small task. I'm not saying it's impossible,
just that's it's a tough job, and even tougher to do it 'right' --
where 'right' equals the perfect balance of features vs. simplicity.

That said, I imagine you'll see a few variations on that theme
(assuming that's possible with 5).

cmp-mmui-cattree, just went dead at that point on making changes.

Wild misrepresentation about full control over look and feel aspect of
promotional material on 5.0.=20

It surprises me that cat tree isn't one of them as it's quite frequently
mentioned as one of the 'things I wish to change' amongst the forums as =

as one of the most individual or 'unique' items on a web site. Not to
mention what an average layman would think includes: 'complete store =
design
control'.

Many of the items have editable configuration screens. The cat tree is
not currently one of them. Send you desires to their wishlist.

In my time with Merchant 5, I found that I could not edit the
individual "items" on the item list. You pretty much need to be a
module developer to edit these items. Unless Miva allows us end
users to access and edit these items, Merchant 5 is a useless product
for most of us. I think their plan is to sell modules...
