OK button grayed out in all Properties screens
Hello,
When a Properties screen "OK" button is grayed-out, it means that one or
more required fields have not been filled in. Usually this happens when a
certain Account type is not specified on either Products or Orders. You
usually won't have this problem on the Customers screen as no Accounts are
specified there.
Here is a list of required fields per screen:
Orders - AR Account or Deposit Account, Shipping Item
Products - Accounts:COGS, Accounts:Income, Accounts:Expense (if 'Track Cost
for Non-Inventory Items' is checked)
Thanks.

Subject: [scu] OK button grayed out in all Properties screens
Synchro users;
We are still trying to get Synchro install and working correctly.
Every time we try to make a change in one of the Properties screens
(Properties: Products, Properties: Orders, Properties: Customers) we
cannot select "OK" to make the change. The "OK" button is always grayed
out and is unclickable. Only the "Cancel" button is clickable.
MIVA told us the answer is in the manual but we haven't seen it. We've
gone through the manual numerous times and can't find a fix for this
problem. We've gone through the installation process more times than I
care to count.
What are we doing wrong and what should we do to get this software
working?
We have Windows XP Home and QuickBooks 2003 Pro Edition. The Synchro
Connector module (version 1.1001) is correctly installed and the
"active" check box is checked. We know Synchro is talking to the
shopping cart as it provided the correct Merchant Storefront in the Add
Store Wizard: Select Storefront screen.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Guest repliedIs Synchro Ready?
I'm relatively new to this list.
I have a client with a Miva Merchant Store and QuickBooks 2004.
Do those of you that have used this combination feel that Synchro is mature
enough, and well enough documented, to recommend it to this client?
Thanks!

The "grayed-out ok" problem often has to do with missing QuickBooks
items. If any of the drop-down windows on the properties screens are
blank, you need to create the missing items and assign them to the
correct accounts, etc within QuickBooks. Miva has not been a lot of help
on that, and it is a mystery why they have not put up an archive of this
user group.

This appears to be a more common problem than Miva thought. This seems
to affect users with either another version of a Intuit product (Such as
Quicken Deluxe or a previous release of QuickBooks) or those users who
have Windows XP Home installed. I have attempted to get Miva to deal
with this problem, as I am in the same boat, but Jimmy just plain
stopped communicating with me about my problem. I figured I am waiting
for Miva to actually test this product thoroughly (I am a beta
purchaser) or release some very long anticipated maintenance releases.
