  • More fun with category tree styling

I would like to be able to have each of the categories that are part of the active links clicked to display the "current" style.

For example, I have some categories that have links that go all the way down to "x-category-tree__list x-category-tree__list--level-4"

I would like, the level-1 through level-3 links to also display the "current" style. Can this be done with just CSS or is it also going to require some other intervention?

  • Hi Leslie,

You might be able to use some form of descendant selector an create a class to cover the current state of the top level on down.

Any examples I can go look and learn from?

      • Hi Leslie,

Actually, it might be easier to add a current state to the top level if it, and/or any of it's children, are selected.

          • I don't know the actual style, but something like:

            .x-category-tree__list x-category-tree__list__top * /*** note asterick ***/

Bruce - PhosphorMedia I was hoping more of a "live-action" example so I could see how it works in action.
