Displaying all products in all subcategories under a parent category

I'm trying to change the layout of the category pages on our site.

Some categories on the site don't have any products directly within them but rather within subcategories.

Is there any way to have the category page display the products within all the subcategories (and then have the subcategories as a sort of facet underneath this)?

Yeah, but...I have done this using the EmporiumPlus Toolkit. I think I need to look into redoing it in using native coding.

This page pulls in sub-sub-catgeory products.

The best way is to copy all the products INTO the top level as well, and then use the Facet Category feature to allow customers to winnow down the results.
