We'd love to have the ability to edit files in an editor outside of Miva's interface and use a version control system like GitHub to push updates from instead of copying and pasting into the existing UI.

If you use SublimeText as your text editor you can do this now using this plugin:

    Install Docs:

      Take a look here:

      https://github.com/rguisewite/MvSublimeTemplateEditor

Its using Sublime, but if your motivated enough it might get you headed in the right direction to work with other editors...although not sure of the reason to use a version control system as Miva has one (albeit somewhat limited...but we're not coding facial recognition apps here :)

OK help me out here. The Install Docs say "Download the zip file. Extract the src/ directory,.. " What zip file? I installed the .mvc file that I got from from apps.miva But where is this illusive zip file that I need to install in Windows: %APPDATA%\Sublime Text 3\Packages\ ?

Never mined. The big green download button should have been my clue. :\

resurrecting this old post in the hopes I can get some help.

After upgrading to Miva Merchant 9.11 the sublime text editor no longer works due to the authentication/verification feature. I have used my verification code in the web admin for the username Sublime is using, restarted Sublime but it still says "unauthorized Device".

Does anyone have any advice? we use Sublime as part of our work flow and this will really affect development.

          thanks for any help.
