SKU search in Global Search Bar

It would be helpful to be able to search the SKU field in the Global Search (just like a product code). It can be searched in the Catalog, so it seems it should also be able to be added to the Global Search to eliminate an extra step.

Hey tampa37,

Good suggestion. I actually already have that slated for our next major release :) Unfortunately, there is no ETA on that one yet, but it is still a ways out at this point. As a side note, the universal search is more of a flyby search (much less granular than the lists). You can search for generic things in a number of categories, but the more advanced searching happens at the list level, where you can search by things like current stock, and when the product was created, etc. That said, I agree that SKU is an important field and should be made searchable within the universal search. Keep an eye out, it is coming.
