I may have suggested this in the past but just in case. One of the minor annoyances if you use a lot of attribute templates is that when you go to add one to a product the dropdown list shows the prompt. So if you have an attribute template with code '4001-colors', title of 'Paint Colors for 4001' and prompt of 'Select A Color' when you go to add a template to the products attributes all you see is a dropdown full of 'Select A Color' 'Choose Your Size' 'Pick An Option' etc which isn't very helpful.

We just use the same thing for the prompt and code. The customers on your website never see the prompt for the attribute templates.
We sell gold dipped roses in quantities of 1 2 3 6 and 12 and have attribute templates for vase options the customers can add to the order from the product page.
Each quantity of roses have different vases to choose from, so we do it like this:
Attribute Code/Prompt
Vase01Rose/Vase01Rose
Vase02Roses/Vase02Roses
Vase03Roses/Vase03Roses
Vase06Roses/Vase06Roses
Vase12Roses/Vase12Roses
Hope this helps.Nick Harkins
