Multiple Email Accounts in settings

Point of clarification - are you referring to the Domain Settings > Domain Details > Mail Settings?

If so, yeah that puppy can be a pain when trying to move to a new mail server and you need to roll back because on an issue with a module that doesn't use "localhost".

After spending a frustrating week moving our email around:

Would be nice to be able in domain settings to save multiple accounts and mark one as live. So you don't loose the old setting entirely when you try a new account.

Otherwise when you try a new account, relaise it doesn't work then you need to refind the passwords etc of the old account. Then you relaise you need to make a new api key etc etc. World of pain avoided.

well, email's not my strong suite but i thought miva still stored the name records for domains AND emails...but like i said...

Not sure how your aliasing feature would work. I think an aliasing extension might not be possible since email servers will eventually not be available on Miva servers. And an alias email address is just an email address. The actual bucket the alias belongs to happens behind the scene at the email server. My conclusion is that the various email address' need to be stored in the store:email tables and accessible in the email template config screen, where currently we only have the store owner's email address.

yes, that an 'email roles'. for example, lets stop using the 'store owner' email as default for anything other than contractual emails. lets have:

&mvt:store:emails:csr1;, &mvt:store:emails:csr2;&mvt:store:emails:csr3; etc
&mvt:store:emails:support;
&mvt:store:emails:orders;
&mvt:store:emails:contact;
&mvt:store:emails:info;

and these could not only contain an actual email, but maybe allow for aliasing within miva
