If there could be an admin section in order processing to have a facility to maintain order notes and updates. Someone sends in an email at 10PM I need to change my order. The order could be in processing and if so this would work to pass updates to your team that is processing orders. It could be hey I ordered this I meant to order that. So someone handling support during off hours could use this to pass these updates to the order processing employees. Something like Order 1234 customer wanted this product changed to this. I have added the updated product to the order please re-print this order with the updated product. Or it could be Order 1234 has been cancelled. Or, order 1234 is in processing do not ship as this order has been determined fraud.
I have had a few different things over the past 23 years like maintaining a google sheet, a google bulletin board app and have determined having this information on a tab in order processing would be best as it is in view right in the order processing versus having to open another application.
Anything related to order processing that needs to be communicated to an order processing team. Of course this could be more than just a rich text like a bulletin board with just a rich test field it could have some workflow.
Sending texts to your crew at 10pm is not the best thing to do. Sending an email to your support email is an option.
I do think this would be used it it was available.
