We LOOSE far to many customers in the checkout process for any number of different reasons.
Classic example
One of our books.
Product Views: 71,054
Added to Basket:

21,474
Removed from Basket 194
Ordered: 5,964
Lost Sales = 72%!!

It's also worth noting, while I think your goal is admirable, this should be looked at in context.

Normal checkout conversion rates run from 20 - 50%, so you're currently in the "normal" range. That doesn't mean you shouldn't attempt to improve it and I'm sure you can, but your expectations should be appropriate for the results.

After reviewing all the material from several different businesses I have decided to go forward with a new store from Glendale Designs.
Of all the materials I reviewed, their website was the most professional and conveyed what I felt was the best possible presentation of MIVA Merchant capability.

I think you'll find this forum has slowed down a bit because most of the questions have already been answered and are pretty easy to search for. With better documentation there is also much less need for questions.

GO to the Miva Conference if you can!
