    Color Swatches

Even though I've seen it in the backend forever I have never tried to get those color swatches working in Miva, nor done any updates related to them that I can remember. I am using a modified version of Levels Theme and wonder if anyone can clue me in as to how to get this setup so I can show color chips like the attached image, either as radio buttons or a drop down - either would work for me. Thanks.

The ability to display color swatches is built into the Levels ReadyTheme, as well as the others. Swatches are based on a drop-down attribute called "Swatch - Drop-down List". If you create an attribute, or change an existing one to this type, you will have the ability to upload images which will display on the product page in place of the drop-down.

I've tried that in the past but no luck. I'm either doing something wrong or there is missing code. I just tried adding a test

you can see the 'test' attribute but no image

      here's the back end

I happen to be working on a product using the thumbnails as well. To get the little thumbnails to work you must select "Swatch - Drop-down List" as the attribute type. Here is the page I am working on:

On your product page, make sure the swatch element is set to "js-swatches". in the Attribute Machine section.

I just have "swatches" in mine. What is the difference? Mine appears to be working okay.

habreu - You may want to contact support or professional services to have them look into the settings to make sure everything is in place.
afiumano - The setting is going to be based on the ReadyTheme or code being used. The default value is "swatches".
