Miva 10 branches and uri system

Does the URI system work nicely with development branches? For example, if I create a dev branch from a cssui store and I want to use the modern uri system, will it affect the cssui primary branch?

It didn't "affect" the current store however on the new branch the links did not work for the new template/framework because I had never updated to the new URI. I ultimately ended up finally updating the primary store to the new URI system... Once done the ability to switch the primary branch is seamless and takes a couple seconds which is extremely impressive in my book..

The URI settings are global and and changes will apply to all branches.
