What causes admin negative inventory values?

A Miva store can be set so that it allows purchases of a product to continue, even after the inventory count reaches zero. This makes sense in some cases, e.g. if the store frequently receives new shipments of the product, so that it doesn't need to stop selling when it goes out of stock.

That makes sense, but we do not display a add to cart option when product is sold out.

        William,

Inventory settings can be set at the global store level but also at a product level.
The scenario you describe can also be due to how you have the 'Remove Products from Available Inventory' option set up (added in ver.9.6).

Can you open a support ticket for this and reference this forum post?
We can look at your specific setup to see what is happening.

PM me the ticket # once you have it.

        Thanks,
