    Speed on importing CSV file

Hello, I have to update around 500,000 items on my site
I'm using Data management/ upload CSV
The file is super simple. 2 columns, product-code, and a custom field.
Based on past experience, I broke the file up into 10 x 50,000 line separate CSV files

When I began this morning at 729 eastern time, Miva was taking about 13 minutes to handle each 50k file
I got through 6 files. The 7th file has been running, it's almost done but basically has taken about 2 hours VS 13 minutes earlier in the day.

What is driving this speed difference? People on my site? I'm told my site is on its own server
Suppose I should just wait until later tonight to handle the last few files?

Traffic can affect the speed at which bulk updates can be made, due to contention at the database level, but should not result in such a dramatic difference. For such a large change, if they occur regularly, we may also be able to make database tuning changes for you to help. I'd recommend opening a ticket, reference this thread, and we can dig in to see what can be optimized.
