I've been digging through a number of posts trying to get the definitive answer on how to assure that images are displayed in the order desired. The store owner needs to assure that the Image Type: Main displays first, followed by in order:

Currently they upload via the admin 5-7 images and assign the Image Type - that doesn't always result in the correct order and must be manually sorted. Why does this happen? (I know another user has asked the same question but I'm also needing to know about the flat file import).
The store owner would like to use a file import to assign the image paths to the products but need to make sure the display in the correct order, with Main always being first.
I think it was also asked if the flat file import could correct the order - can it?
I seem to recall in the cobwebs of my brain that the display order, when using the flat file import, looked at the file name to sort by. Is that incorrect?
