    ShipWorks Integration Time Frame?

Anyone who has integrated their site with ShipWorks - can you share the 'time frame' from start to finish of how long it took? Looking at this as an intermediary between miva and fulfillment center called ShipNetwork.

Probably going to have to build this ourselves but thought i'd ask.

Used them in the past, and it was a simple setup with the module in the app store (couple hours). If you need to set up email templates, then it'll take longer. That said, I think ShipWorks is best if you have a single warehouse and use the software for direct fulfillment. You'd likely have an easier time with Shipstation -- especially since they already integrate with ShipNetwork.

Bruce - PhosphorMedia , you dont have to build anything, we've been using it for over 15 years (geared for smaller operations), its quite simple and easy to install, configure and to use. Their tech support is also great, and if you like they will install and configure it for you via screen share and give a quick How to demo.

thanks for the insite. It looks like we are going to attempt a direct connection however, cause the store owner doesn't want yet another integration in his system.

Bruce - PhosphorMedia , I forgot to mention one important thing that might interest you. If you are interested in "bidirectional" updates between each platform, make sure you mention that to them during the configuration stage. Otherwise, its simply downloads order information to ShipWorks, and not vise-versa.

Example: ShipWorks updates Miva Order Status and Tracking Information (can't recall notes on either system at this moment -senior moment).

Bruce - PhosphorMedia When you say direct connection, what do you mean?
            Thanks,

Bruce - PhosphorMedia, so I did a little digging regarding "automated bidirectional updates of order notes (not customer shipping instructions) between platforms (e.g. ShipWorks and Miva Merchant)", here is ShipWorks response:

Essentially, bidirectional updates the way you are requesting is possible, but it would require you to work with a developer on Miva Merchant's side. ShipWorks only responds to requests, so it does not currently write back information without prompt. What you could do is work with a developer to create a request on Miva's side that requests order note response so ShipWorks can send back the information.

In short, at this time, we do not have an automated option. However, if you work with a Miva developer, this is a possibility.
So if anyone knows of a solution, please let us know.
