    I was thinking about doing the comment thing - the next page would be the checkout screens. The site has the Viking Coder Other Page Templates.

    depends if you are using Vikingcoders page templates or not. If yes, you would close it in the page template. In other case it would be the header of the page being displayed.

    The MM4 page layout has that stupid td width="80%" even on pages that don't have the cattree. I'm trying to remember if there was a down & dirty way to fix this.

    Yes, I KNOW the answer is upgrade to MM5.5, but that's not on the table at this moment in time.
