    Bulk Volume Pricing configuration?

Is there any way to do a bulk configuration for products with Volume Pricing. Bill's Volume Pricing module has the ability to export (and the import) the product configuration. I was hoping that once the Marketing Volume Pricing was activated fields would become available in the Data Management Export Products To Flat File. Unfortunately, it's not so. Please don't tell me to use the Import Data from XML File, even though I didn't sleep through the class the lessons didn't stick.

So how do we get this done?

There is a separate Volume Pricing Import under Data Management for volume pricing. Should be called "Update Volume Pricing From CSV" The csv format is described here:

Okay, that's a start. It would be great to include how to convert an export file from the EmporiumPlus Volume Pricing to the Update Volume Pricing from CSV file format.

For example, here's a row from the EP import

      9091-96RF#1|50|0%^51|250|4%^251|750|8%^751|1000|12%^100 1|+|15%^#0##

The instructions show seem to show the break points in the header row but I don't see where to indicate that it's a percentage. Then what do I do if there are different breakpoints?

For example, one of the rows in the EP import is different

      0550-66#1|287|2.58^288|749|2.47^750|999|2.43^1000|+|2.3 8^#0##

I'm also not seeing how to change the breakpoints. Again, the documentation is a little weak here.

I don't think there is any conversion. Someone great at spreadsheets maybe could do this task. The format of the csv IMO is quite different.

The format of the CSV is not throughly explained. How do I create a percentage? How do a create a combination of methods available - percentage, fixed or absolute?

Ah OK. I think that is a different scenario. I haven't personally configured a percentage or a combination of discount types in the same price group. It might be possible the # in the price break column is just a number and could be the price or percentage.

Side note: Looking at your example above, you may want to use one csv file per price group if your quantity breaks have wide ranges.

Well, as soon as some one tells me how to set percentage ranges I will give it a whirl....

Hey Leslie - We'll update the docs with this but here is how do set a change the volume discount type in the CSV import:

                    Absolute: Positive Value 7.50
Fixed: Negative Value -1.50 (This will subtract 1.50 from the base price)
                    Percentage: 25% (include percent sign)
