What's the mvt:item tag to put facets on the SRCH or CTGY pages? I've enabled it all (I think!) and added the tag without any parameters, but it's not working. Thanks!

We should have the docs posted here soon, but the tag is:

<mvt:item name="facets" />

The item also needs to be assigned to the page. There is also a standard facets module under utilities that should be installed.

Unfortunately I put the tag inside the "if" section that displays if there are 0 products!

Will there be a way to facet on multiple values with a custom field? For example, if "color" has "red,blue,green" have that become individual facets for each color?

Yes, it won't be in the initial release. However if you have attributes setup for the product, those will automatically become facets. Its only multi-valued custom fields faceting that is not part of this release.

Right now it is not slated for the first public release. We are planning on doing a stand alone parts finder which would leverage that multi-valued facet functionality

Brennan, does search do the following?

1. automatic handling of plurals. I see if I search for "tire" and "tires" I get a vastly different number of products returned.
2. synonyms

Also what is "Use Database Full-Text Searching"?

In a future release we have plans to add in the ability to map keywords to synonyms. Here is some info on Full-Text Searching. It is a native MySQL feature what allows for better search results:

Thanks Brennan. What about the plurals? I see that you can do a boolean full text search that might work for standard plurals (just add an "s") but won't work for non-standard ones like "parties".

Will we have the ability to turn off the Rich Text Editor (either globally or via Groups)?

Yes. The rich text editor only loads in two places. On the Product Description as well as Custom Field Text areas. All others are just a more standard text area with line numbers. But on a per used level you can control what you see.
