Is there a way to import a weight table from a spreadsheet?

I took a look at my demo store and played around with the weight table shipping module. I added a few methods, and from the weight table shipping module screen you can export that to a csv file, however, you can't import any shipping methods through csv under the import / export screen. It's also not available under import settings. The only thing you can import are shipments, not shipping methods.

I talked with one of our web developers and they said that it might be possible through provisioning, or through some other custom import that they'd have to build. How many weight table methods do you need to add?

Probably about 8 tables on each of 2 sites. We started building them out by hand but it seems strange to have export ability without being able to import. An imported CSV file would be an easy way to work with weight tables as working in a spreadsheet is a lot quicker. Thanks for your feedback.
