Using the attribute field and some (cough) coding. Don't have a ready solution on hand but this should work, mainly with the enhanced scheduler in 9.7 I think.Andreas Toman

It might be possible by setting up the gift certificate as a subscription with a single installment and a delayed start date -- if subscriptions can do that? Just thinking on my feet here, haven't checked the docs. I haven't seen any details on the enhanced scheduler, so I don't know if it will help.

Oh, yeah, didn't think of that. Subscriptions don't require Miva Pay for processing free items. So it's possible that you can jigger all the settings so that a payment is collected on the initial purchase, but not when the subscription is processed. Again that's just a guess; I haven't looked into it ... While we're on the subject, I'll mention that I have a Pre-Order Manger module that could be a solution. You can drop me a line by email if the client is interested in that.
Thanks --Kent Multer

Guess I'm going to trot on over to the Dream Features and post this. I was asked by a store owner if this option was available because she found it on another online store.Leslie Kirk
