I searched around to see what I could find because I'm thinking someone might have something for this, but I didn't find anything. I have a storeowner who needs to be able to have resellers upload an image or PDF of their resale tax certificate. I'm thinking since it's sensitive information in would need to go to a secure location. The store owner would like to include the upload as part of the account creation so the upload field would be on the ACAD screen.

Hi Leslie, I have a module for this. It's in use by quite a few stores now; I really should publish it in the Miva app store or some other public place. Drop me a line by email and I'll hook you up.Kent Multer

One of them I believe is specifically for SSL connections...as for uploading to mivadata...ah, no...cause that would be unsafe from the DOM sphere. (Meaning, you're specifically opening a portal from the browser's DOM directly to /mivadata.)
For that, you'd have to do a file move [ sfrename( source, destination ) ] or use something like what Kent has cause then the access to /mivadata is protected by the Merchant application.Bruce Golub

Circling back to this. Miva has added the ability via custom fields to upload a file. Is this ability just on the admin side to be able to link a file for the customer to access? Is there any way it can be used on the customer account screens ACAD or ACLN to input a PDF or image type file?Leslie Kirk

Yes, I really should list it in the Miva app store; I'm planning to do that soon, along with a few others. The upload module installation is a little tricky, so I always do it myself. For now, you can email me; I'll hook you up.
Thanks --Kent Multer
