    rel="canonical" with Session_ID

    HI all

    Working on a new site with the latest and great from MIVA

    and I was looking at the rel="canonical" the page generation, and it looks like this

    rel="canonical" href="https://site.com/page.html?Session_ID=54ffd24a867d4560a1f817604f6eb 8df"

    is it bad to have the Session_ID in the rel="canonical", If so how do I remove it?

    OK So I just rediscovered the the "include Session Parameters in Miva Merchant URLs" under
    Domain Settings -> Site Configuration -> Include Session Parameters in Miva Merchant URL

    But would the Session_ID hurt the rel="canonical" or negativtaly impact SEO

      If you go all HTTPS - you will not need the Session ID. SEO wants all HTTPS - problem solved

        A 'session' id should never be in a link for "SEO" purposes. Not sure how it got there as its either controlled by the URI Machine or coded directly using product code or other variables.
