MailChimp module and MMUI

It would seem that the latest MailChimp module isn't quite compatible with MMUI. I do have a ticket open with support and I'm trying a few things they have suggested (it was something I was going to try but was sure of the correct coding).

Does anyone with an MMUI store use the MailChimp module? How have you configured it? I have hardcoded a link to the mailchimp.js file and added the mailchimp_tracker javascript. But now I'm getting this error (in the browser DevTools Console)

Is this something that worked prior to the latest up? You can fix this by adding a script tag to clientside.mvc?Filename=ajax.js to either the page header template or the global header template.

The latest update has not been run yet.

The only testing related to MMUI that still occurs is that updates to the core software do not render a MMUI store inoperable. It has been considered end of life for about five and a half years after a few years of continued support following CSSUI's release in 2011.
