How do you import combination facets... but ONLY APPEND!

How do you import combination facets... but ONLY APPEND as I want to add 2020 not remove all the rest... Is this possible??! It seems the only way to do this is to export and then add the 2020 and then import all the data back. Please say there is another way. I don't want to point and click in the admin.

I believe import/export would be the only way other than using using a Product List Load All loop in a temp page to Read, append 2020, then write to the custom field.

Thanks for the suggestion Bruce. That would be an "outside the box" way...

...hopefully somebody at Miva chirps in with a built-in way. Like "oh you just click this option on this special thing that's not obvious here" sort of thing :) :)

Was surprised to realize the import products options don't include 'append'! You can append for categories, but basically can only update and/or add new products and then retain or overwrite custom field data.

While I understand the intent, that'd complicate importing to a large degree as it would have to be specific to each field and they'd probably want to limit that feature to specific field types. I.e., non numerical fields. And, with custom fields, there's no distinction between fields (in the datatables they are all text).

Matt Zimmermann Hi Matt. I actually for real need an answer to this. Can you please give input or pass this on to somebody over there who could? Even if the only real answer is "You gotta do it one by one in the admin - point and click style" then at least I know. I'll be sad, but that's fine :P
