Squishable has been Nominated for Best Use of Social Media and Most Unique Marketing Promotion at The Baldes Ecommerce Awards and Annual Miva Merchant Conference

Squishable has been named as one of five finalists for the categories of Best Use of Social Media, as well as Most Unique Marketing Promotion.

Squishable.com has been named as one of five finalists in the running for The Blades title of Best Use of Social Media for its absolute domination of Facebook. With over 750,000 likes and upwards of 35,000 people actively talking about Squishable’s page, they clearly have mastered the use of this social media outlet. Additionally, Squishable has been nominated for the category of Most Unique Marketing Promotion for Project Open Squish. This promotion is a great way for Squishable to engage their customers and to give them an opportunity to vote on their next product release.

“Like every other company, Squishable has bosses, corporate strategy meetings, and all that important-sounding stuff. However, we aren’t every other company,” commented Charles Donefer, Managing Squisher. “For the big things, like what color our giant stuffed cupcake should be, we turn to our fans to vote for what they want. Letting fans design new products is a natural outgrowth of how we do business.”

The inaugural Blades Ecommerce Awards will be held in conjunction with MivaCon 2013, Miva Merchant’s 13th annual conference. This year’s conference and awards dinner will take place in San Diego, CA on March 6 – 8 at The Hyatt Regency, La Jolla.

Squishable will be recognized at The Blades Awards, along with other Miva Merchant stores that have achieved excellence in ecommerce. The categories for nominations include Best Use of Social Media, Best New Feature, Best Design, Most Unique Marketing Promotion, and Best New Website of 2012.
