    Upgrade Woes

    Hey folks,

Trying to upgrade a site from 4.13 to 4.23. The upgrade process fails at 91% regardless of
whatever modules I disable. For example, it first failed on Fulfillment module, so I just
uninstalled it from the store. Next pass it stalled on a Utility module, so I uninstalled
that one, then it stalled on another Utility module. Any ideas on what is up?

    Some background:
The server is a dedicated server through an unknown host (co location, and the guy I'm
working with doesn't know who it is or who to ask).

I have been experiencing connection problems, which I first thought where suspect, but
since it ALWAYS fails at the 91% level, while doing something to modules, I'm not sure if
the connection problems are indicative of anything.

    Ideas?

Just shows that the upgrade processes was calling the upgrade function for whatever module
it was on when the overall process hit 91%

          Upgrade Woes

This is a known issue that I have been fighting with Miva's support for
          since 4.16 came out.

The problem is with a javascript function inside the upgrade.mvc file.
The functions "Upgrade_Finished" and "Upgrade_Finished_With_Errors" have
a problem. When 3rd party modules are installed - the script fails to
pass a value in this function to indicate whether it has successfully
been upgraded or not. Since the script fails to trap this null value
error, is simply exits, leaving the upgrade screen stopped between 91%
and 93% and the message of "Done, with errors." in the browsers status
          bar.

At this point, all you can do is restore you're old data files and run
          the upgrade again.

The only way around this problem (until Miva fixes the bug), is to
select deactivate for ALL installed 3rd party modules during the upgrade
process, then manually update them after it completes.

Miva insists there is no problem, since they cannot duplicate it with
stock Merchant. Of course they can't, it only happens when 3rd party
modules are installed. Before Jimmy was promoted from support, he did
acknowledge there was something going on, and was supposed to send it to
someone in Engineering. Never heard anything further about it.

            Authorize.net Issues

            Hello everyone,

I am working with a client who is on 4.12 and using Authorize.net 3.0
            Module

They have not been receiving any orders for sometime now and apparently
the site is generating an error Unable to authorize payment: This
transaction cannot be accepted. Errors - we can authorize the
transaction just fine in Authorize.net using the Virtual Terminal - so
there must be something configured weird

Here's the URL we are using for authorize.net

            https://secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll

When we login to authorize.net it says something about disabling WebLink
            - any thoughts

            Paul
