    "value" web?



    Hi folks --

    A client has asked me to upgrade their store from Merchant 4.00 to
    4.23. They are hosted at ValueWeb, and I seem to remember hearing some
    negative things about them here ... they have a "control panel" page with a
    "Perform Upgrade" button on it. Has anyone used this? Does it do anything
    different from manually running upgrade.mvc? Should I avoid it like the
    plague :^?

    Kent,

    From my experience, Valueweb wasn't the best with Miva. It's been a while
    since I've used them though.

    I dropped them a couple years ago and don't know if they've improved.
